Eublepharis macularis o conocido mas comun por gecko leopardo vive principalmente en rigiones semideserticas desde Iran hasta Pakistan. Es una especie muy utilizada en el mundo de la terrarofilia principalmente para personas que se inician en este mundo de los reptiles por su facil cuidado y reproducion.
Los geckos leopardo son insectivoros y su principal alimentacion en cautiverio son invertebrados como grillos, cucaracha blaptica dubia, langosta y diferentes tipos de gusanos los cuales deberemos obtener en tiendas especializadas para evitar problemas con intoxicaciones con pestizidas.
Pueden llegar a vivir hasta 20 años con buenos cuidados y al año de edad pueden reproducirse si alcanzan el peso y tamaño recomendado para que las hembras no sufran ningun problema como retencion de huevos.
